Change goes on all the time - no organisation can afford to stand still or be complacent. As a line manager you are likely to be involved as an instigator, one who encourages others to instigate change and as one who has to lead and inspire others in implementing change planned by others. The objectives of this workbook are to make you better able to
 

• identify the forces behind change and how they might affect you
• recognise the beneficial aspects of change
• initiate improvements in workplace activities
• describe the effect of change on systems and procedures and assess the costs and benefits of change
• plan change projects
